Cil Wenllan Flock | Machynlleth, Powys, Wales

Shepherded since 2014 by a retired scientist obsessed with colour genetics and fibre testing, Cil Wenllan is a medium sized flock in the hills near Machynlleth.

My breeding focuses on dilute colour genetics, fleece with good staple length and high comfort factor, good parasite resistance and healthy feet, calm and friendly temperament, and good body shape.

For 2026 I have a few ewes for sale with lambs at foot, and from end of July will have a selection of ewe lambs, tup lambs and wether lambs available in various colours and patterns. 

I am also offering for sale Cil Wenllan Harley, a proven dark musket ram, 2 years old, excellent conformation, horns and temperament, good staple length, has sired flecket and greemit (bersugget) lambs so carries both types of spots, and probably carries dilute.  Photos and video available on request, viewing welcome.

Happy to assist new shepherds in putting together a starter flock and with ongoing mentoring.  Willing to negotiate delivery of sheep within reasonable distance.
