Friday 24th September
- 12.00 noon - 6.00pm: Arrival and Inspection of stock
- 2.30pm: Judging of Sheep classes followed by Wool on the Hoof
- 6.30pm: Shetland Sheep Society Annual General Meeting in North Petherton Bowling Club on the same complex as the market.
- 8.00pm approx: Evening Meal with entertainment. Please contact Mrs. Jean Curtis for information and dinner tickets.
Saturday 25th September
- 6.00am - 10.00am: Arrival and Inspecton of stock
- 9.00am - 9.45am: Fleece and Sheepskins to be delivered to Stewards
- 10.00am Judging of Fleece and Sheepskins
- 10.00am - 12.00 noon: Ram Inspections and training - Organiser Mr Alan Hill
- 2.00pm: Sale Commences - Shetland Sheep (MV Accredited) followed by Sale of Shetland Sheep (non MV).
- 3.30pm: Latest removal of Fleece and Sheepskins
NB: The Market must be cleared of all livestock by 12.00 Noon on Sunday 26th September.
Shetland Show Classes - Friday 24th September
No entry fee is required. Please inform the Society's Steward of your Show entries on arrival. Up to two animals per class per vendor.

- Class 1: Ewe, two years old and over, to have bred a lamb.
- Class 2: Ewe, one year old.
- Class 3: Ewe lamb.
- Class 4: Ram, two years old and over.
- Class 5: Ram, one year old.
- Class 6: Ram lamb.
Supreme Champion - St Baldreds Trophy and £50 voucher from Mole Valley Farmers Ltd.

- Champion Ram (Classes 4 and 5): £150

Note: To be eligible for the Special Prizes the sheep must be sold through the ring as part of the Sale. The Prizes will be paid out by the Auctioneers with the Sales cheque.

If there are sufficient numbers forward the class will be divided into adult sheep and lambs.

No entry fees required. Please bring entries to the Stewards next to our Breed Stand from 9.00am to 9.45am.
Fleece Competition
Judge: Mrs Maureen Turner
Steward: Mrs J Partt
If there are sufficient entries the class will be divided into colour groups.
Fleece must be one year's growth and from the 2010 clip. Fleeces must be rolled with the tip end of fleece inside and presented in such a way that it remains neatly in place (no string).

If there are sufficient entries the class will be divided into whole colour and patterned.
Champion - Devonia Sheepskins voucher.
After the Show Classes fleece and sheepskins may be marked 'For Sale', priced and labelled in accordance with Trading Standards requirements. A 10% commission from each sale will be deducted by the Society.
Fleece and sheepskins must be removed by 3.30pm
